Mary Jane Brunton &

John Arrowsmith Storey

​Mary was born in July of 1864 in Harrington Hill, Co. Durham; while John was born in March of 1860 in Aukland, Co. Durham.  They were married in Darlington Registration District on the 7th of August 1888.

 

Prior to marriage, John was a Joiner, however by 1891 he was a Railway Clerk.  They had four children, though it is probable that Joseph died in infancy or childhood, as in 1901 he does not appear at ten years of age with Mary & John  Jnr when living with her parents after John Snr's death.  In 1911, John Jnr is still living with her at 36 Simpson Street, New Shildon.

 

John Snr died on the 22nd of January 1897 in Darlington.  Mary died on the 18th of March 1941 at Bishop Aukland, Co. Durham.
