Edward Draper

& Anne Marthe Vionnee

This is the story of Edward & Anne Draper. Edward was born about 1771 in Warminster, Wiltshire, England.  Anne was born on the 26th of July 1772 in Guernsey, Channel Islands.  They married on Guernsey on the 22nd of August, 1803.

The Drapers are the second family who became intertwined with the Buddle Atkinsons. This began with the marriage of Edward & Anne's grand-daughter Clara Elizabeth Draper to Buddle Atkinson.

Edward & Anne had six children.  Their third child, James married Matilda Finucane, whose daughter Clara married Buddle Atkinson.

Not much is known of Edward and Anne's life, however their last two children died in infancy. It is suspected that Edward was a hat maker or milliner, as this craft was carried on by all of their sons.

Edward died on the 11th of January 1844 & Anne passed away on the 26th of August 1846; both at St Peter Port, Guernsey.
