Patrick Reginald Edward Browne & Evelyn Sophie Alexandra Walston

Patrick was born in Chesterton, Cambridgeshire on 28/5/1907 and he married Evelyn, born on 13/4/1910 at St. George Hospital, Hanover Square, London, on 26/5/1931 in London.
 
They had two daughters, Harriet & Louisa.
 
Patrick's career began when he took his degree in Law in 1929, upon which he entered the Inner Temple.  Upon marrying Evelyn, they set up house at Campden Hill Square, in the outer confines of habitable London.  He took an early interest in legal aid, he was often to be found Toynbee Hall Legal Centre.

At the outset of WWII, he joined the Royal Horse Artillery and was engaged in war defense strategy, he became a Lieutenant-Colonel (GSO).  In 1945 he was made an OBE and went to work at the Bar.
 
He took Silk as a Queens Counsel in 1960 and not expecting the opportunity of becoming a Judge, he was surprised to be appointed to the Bench in 1964.  In 1974, he was appointed a Lord Justice of Appeal.
 
Evelyn died 16/7/1966 at Kensington, London.  In 1977, Patrick remarried to Lena Atkinson.  He passed away 1/10/1996 at Thriplow, Hertfordshire.
