William was born on the 31st of May, 1868 in Southwick, Co Durham. In September of 1895, in Liverpool, Lancashire; he married Ellen Owen, born about 1869 in Bangor, Caenarvonshire, Wales.

 

William was described as a Labourer in both the 1901 & 1911 census returns.  In 1911 the census details that they only had one child, Isabella, born 18September quarter, 1897. They lived in Bangor, Wales.

 

Ellen died in September of 1944 in Bangor, Wales, aged 76.  William died at the age of 80 in September 1948 in Liverpool, Lancashire.
