John was born on the 13th of December, 1860 in Newcastle, Northumberland, UK and Emma was born about September 1860; also in Newcastle, Northumberland, UK.
 
They were married on the 19th of August, 1883 in Christ Church, Newcastle upon Tyne. Prior to his marriage, John was noted as a Pawnbroker in the 1881 census.  Their first child, Willam was born in the July of 1884 in Newcastle upon Tyne, with their second child, Isabella, born about June of 1886,in Newcastle.

Their residencial & employment status are unknown in 1891, as they do not appear in the 1891 census.
 
By 1901, they are living at 3 Parkville, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland.  John is now working as a Gunmaker's Bookkeepper and William is now an Apprentice Marine Engine Fitter.  
 
In 1911, John & Emma are now living alone at 7 Gordondale Road, Wimbledon Park, Surrey.  John is now an Accountant working for a Motor Supply company. In this census, it is noted that they have two surviving children & no deceased children. 
 
John passed away on the 4th of June, 1933 in Kingston, Surrey, England.  Emma died on the 12th of August, 1938 in the Royal Masonic Hospital in Hammersmith, Middlesex, England.  They are both buried in the Gap Road Cemetery, Wimbledon, Greater London, England.
