Anthony David Hutton OBE - Captain, Royal Navy

As a Lieutenant Commander, he was posted on to the Royal Yacht "Brittania" - during which time she sailed to Australia, NZ, the Pacific Islands, Canada & the West Indies

In 1974 he was 2nd in command of the carrier Hermes, when Cyprus was invaded by Turkey
-
He commanded the Leopard, a diesel powered anti-aircraft frigate, as well as the missile destroyers Norfolk & Newcastle
-
He served on the Central Staff at the MOD before retiring in 1985 after fully 40 years of service
