Eleanor was the second child of Robert & Elizabeth, born at Southwick, Durham, on 1/6/1855.  On 1/1/1872 she married William, born 1853 in Tottingham, Northumberland.

 

In 1881, William was a ship riveter and they lived in Southwick, Co. Durham.  By 1891, William was listed as a Boilermaker and they lived at 69 Carley Road, Southwick. By 1901, at age 48, William was widowed and living with his daughter Elizabeth & her husband Thomas Smith, who was also a boilermaker. In 1911, at age 58, William was still a boilermaker and living with his eldest son Robert at 71 Wayman St, Sunderland.

 

Eleanor & William had eight children.

 

Eleanor passed away on 19/1/1901 at Monkwearmouth.  William passed away on 27/1/1922 at Southwick.
